Ease of Use:  

Navigation of Advanced Administrative Tools is very simple. The opening screen is clear-cut and user-friendly, using well-known terms such as "play" to perform the scan. Available tab buttons transport you from section to section.

Feature Set:  

One outstanding feature included in this package is the Start-Up Wizard, which grants instant access to programs which start automatically when you logon to your computer. This allows you to remove registry entries of start-up programs. Cleaning your windows add/remove list is exceptionally easy with this program. With most programs, when you manually delete something from windows, the uninstall options are removed as well, leaving references to these programs in your add/remove list. However, Advanced Administrative Tools has the ability to uninstall programs found in the Windows add/remove list. Another convenient feature included in this package is the ability to perform individual corrections, restoring them to their original state.

Additional features included in Advanced Administrative tools are a Port Scanner, Proxy Analyzer, RBL Locator, Trace Route, E-Mail Verifier, Link Analyzer, Who-is, Network Monitor, Process, Monitor, System Info, Resource Viewer, and a Registry Cleaner.

Ease of Installation:  

There were no complications during the installation of Advanced Administrative Tools.

Help/Support:  

The help and documentation segment for this program was superb. It included a thorough help manual, FAQs, an Online Support Forum and email support.

Safety:  

Safety is the most critical issue in registry repair utilities. AATools scans the registry and delivers a list of detected errors. This list is not divided into convenient categories, like many of the top-of-the-line registry repair utilities. Although you do not have direct access to the errors, the location is described for you. However, there is neither an explanation of the error or a severity ranking delivered to guide the novice in correct action with the error.

Summary:  

Advanced Administrative Tools is a utilities package designed only for someone with advanced experience with the Windows registry. However, if you are advanced with the registry, and the additional features appeal to you, this product may be the one for you. If you are new to the Windows registry and are searching only for a registry cleaner or repair tool, there are much better and safer products available.
