Registry Fix is a simple and easy to use registry scanning utility. It includes options and features that will help keep your computer running lean and mean but misses out on some extra features you may want in a registry scanning utility.

Ease of Use:  

Registry Fix is very easy to use. It has some advanced options that many people will want in a registry scanning utility such as an add/remove program manager and startup program manager. It can be difficult to find the backup options because they are located in two different areas of the program. Everything else in the program is simple and intuitive.

Feature Set:  

Registry Fix includes several features such as a well equipped registry scanner, startup program manager, add/remove program manager and registry backup utility. All of these options are easy to use and accessible within 2 clicks of the main menu. It lacks many of the extra features of some of our higher ranking products though. Extras such as a registry defragger or file shredding utility would help this product quite a bit.

Ease of Installation:  

Registry Fix was fast and easy to install.

Help/Support:  

Registry Fix includes both email and live chat support. There is also a local help file that can be accessed by using the F1 key.

Safety:  

Registry Fix offers the ability to perform full backups and gives basic information on each error it finds, but does not offer any indication of the severity of any of the errors. Because safety is paramount when using any program that might modify your registry, a lack of information could be very serious when using a registry scanning utility.

Summary:  

Registry Fix is a good registry scanning utility that offers some useful features. It does lack extended features and some basic functions can be difficult to find if you don't know where to look. It also lacks common safety features like automatic backup and error severity.  In the overall scheme of things, this is a good product that will help keep your computer clean and running well.
