Registry Repair from DT Utilities is designed to clean, repair and maintain your computer’s registry quickly and efficiently. This registry repair software provides the tools you need to get the job done – all within an enjoyable, easy-to-use interface. Registry Repair is definitely not the most advanced application, nor does it offer the most extensive feature set, but it has the power and the tools to speed up your computer and improve your PC’s performance in very little time.

This application found the greatest number of errors on our test computer of all the registry repair software we tested. Registry Repair found 1,670 registry errors within 30 seconds. This application checks for a large number of registry errors, including invalid DLLs, help files, Com/ActiveX, sound and app events and more. However, it does not check for duplicate files or any traces of spyware that may be hiding within your system.

This DT Utilities application includes a handful of basic features. There is a scheduler tool that allows you to set specific times when you would like the software to perform registry scans. There is also a startup manager that lets you select which applications you would like to launch at startup. In addition, an ignore list is available that lets you exclude specific files or areas of your computer from the regular scanning process.

Safety is not the strongest aspect of DT Utilities’ Registry Repair. The application will create automatic backups when it is performing a registry scan, and these backups are easy to restore if you need them. However, the software doesn't include any severity ranking information for the scan results or an individual undo button for minor tweaks.

This registry repair software may not be the most amazing-looking application in terms of slick design and pretty fonts, but it is easy to use. The interface uses a six-button menu located on the left-hand side of the screen, and each button is labeled with its specific task. By simply clicking one of the six buttons, you’ll be able to scan, backup or clean your computer’s registry right away.

Registry Repair’s support includes many of the same helpful options you will find on other manufacturers' websites. The software contains a help section along with a link to the online help, where you can submit a ticket by email or browse the FAQs and knowledgebase for additional help.
